Start of the 2018-2019 School year!

Greetings Chargers,

Welcome back to school! My name is Coach Gethings, I will be the 2018-2019 Second-Fifth Grade PE Teacher. I am very excited for this opportunity! This will be my second year at Arete. This year, the scholars will be learning many different sports and activities. Lacrosse will be a new sport introduced this year along with fitness ladders. Both these activities will build coordination and motor skills. The scholars will also be learning in the early part of the year about various muscle groups and bones. It is my goal that the scholars will improve in all sports that we do and I know that they will rise to the occasion! I look forward to the upcoming school year and Go Chargers!

Greetings Chargers! This year I have many fun and exciting activities planned! The scholars have just completed lacrosse and are now moving into Hockey. We are building the foundation for more challenging activities as the year progresses and more complicated lessons. These activities will both challenge and build confidence in the students. Upcoming weeks in PE!

Greetings Chargers,        Due to various scheduling conflicts,  all P.E. classes will take place outside for the next several weeks. As the temperatures heat up, please send a water bottle to school with your children.  We will be sure to give students water breaks during P.E. If your child requires sunscreen, please apply it before school starts. Students may also wear a hat (free of pop-culture) during P.E. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Welcome to PE 19-20 School year!

Greetings Chargers,       Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! This will be my third year here at Archway Arete and I am very excited to get the year started. This is also my second year teaching Second-Fifth Grade. This year, the scholars will be learning about many sports and activities. I will include traditional sports such as volleyball and hockey along with many other variety of activities. My goal is to develop sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership into each lesson.
