New year!

Greetings Chargers!         This sure has been an interesting year! I am looking forward to a new year and continuing to teach the scholars. We will be having sports such as football and also other fun activities. There will be an emphasis on team building and sportsmanship. The scholars will also continue to grow in their fitness levels. This may mean even more running laps, which they sometimes enjoy :) I hope everyone had a fun and restful break. Reach out to me with any questions and Go Chargers!  Best regards, Coach Gethings

Having fun at home!

Image
Greetings Chargers, It is important to stay healthy and active while at home. The activities you choose should also be fun for you and your family. Things that I do for fun are walking my dog Zeus, playing frisbee and going on runs. I also have been enjoying all the hummingbirds and ducks that live near me. There are many opportunities including going for walks, a run, or having a family dance party! While it may be tough to stay at home, it opens up a great opportunity to spend time with family. As always, reach out to me if you have any questions. Have a great day and Go Chargers! Best regards, Coach Gethings

Staying active while being creative!

Greetings Chargers, I hope everyone is enjoying being home with their families! While this has been a time for adjustment, it has also been a time to be creative. I have been researching many different ways to bring PE into your homes. I have been able to replace equipment with many household items. Instead of throwing a ball, it is now throwing a sock. That is just one example of what I will be bringing into my lessons in the coming weeks. My challenge to you and your family is to get as creative as possible with staying happy and healthy! Here are some pictures about what myself and Zeus have been up to. I would love to hear about what you have done to stay active! Please email me at jgethings@archwayarete.org with what you and your family have been doing! .

Greetings Chargers,        I hope everyone is doing good! During this time. I wanted to update everyone on what's been going on. I have been spending a lot of time with my dog Zeus. He has enjoyed all the extra love and pets he's been getting with me being home. It has taken some creativity with staying active. Everyday I make it a priority to go for a walk around my neighborhood. I have also been looking online for new and fun exercise videos. Other parts of my day, include looking up exercises and activities for all my students. If you have any questions or need ideas on staying active, feel free to reach out to me at any time. Have a great day and Go Chargers! Best regards, Coach Gethings
